  • Family Front, Vol. 65, No. 5, May 2025

    Mother’s Day brings seeing the newest little ones in our congregation. We will be dedicating young ones that day. If your family would like to be part of the worship service on May 11, let me know.

    VBS is coming! VBS is coming! – July 14-18, 2025 brings an exciting week to our Church. TRUE NORTH: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World will be from 9am-12 noon. Online registration is up and running on the website. If you would like to volunteer, we will give you all the tools to help you do this. And it’s a fun week! See me with questions or to say: “I’m in”! Find the registration form through our website at https://feefeebc.org/vbs2025/ True North VBS teaches kids scripture, bible accounts, science gizmos and recreation to learn more about trusting Jesus!

    That same week, we will offer GAME ON! Sports camp in the afternoon, 1pm-4pm. A different sport each day will engage children and give them the basics. We will play lots of fun games, offer snack and have devotion time. Kids will hear about Jesus in a unique way and have lots of fun! If children are coming for the day (VBS in a.m. and sports camp in afternoon) they can bring a lunch. Sports camp is $50 /child who has completed Kindergarten through 5th grade. Use same form for VBS and sports camp to register a child. One registration form per child.

    Encounter Kids Camp is happening July 9-12 at Lake of the Ozarks (formerly known as Windermere). This camp is for kids that are going into 3rd through 6th grade. If your child is interested, please notify me. Cost per child will be $50; the church will pay the rest.

    I’m A Christian Now Class is right around the corner beginning June 15. This class is for kids that are awaiting baptism. If the child has accepted Christ and wants to know ‘what’s next’, this is the class for them. This class is 4 consecutive Sundays during the Bible study hour from 9:15-10:15am. We also ask that a parent or parents attend with the child. We teach them what living as a Christian means, what the Lord’s Supper and baptism mean; what the church is; and how to grow as a Christian. Let me know if your family would like to attend.

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 5, May 2025

    May is going to be a fun month. First on May 8th, we will be going to the Transportation Museum. We have been there before but never as VIP’s. We are going to enjoy complimentary admission, a vintage trolley ride, and a VIP guided tour by Conductor Charlie, our own Charlie Lee! Wear your walking shoes as we explore the 42 acres of cars, airplanes, boats and 70 train locomotives. The museum has the largest collection of train locomotives of any museum in the country. The bus will leave at 10 am.

    Then on Wednesday/Thursday, May 21-22, we will journey to Nauvoo, IL. This historical city is located along the Mississippi river. In the mid 1800’s, it was the oldest city in Illinois. Some of the major attractions we will visit are the restored homes of the early Mormon settlers, the Joseph Smith Historic Site, the Brigham Young Home, the Flood Museum and several of the town’s museums. Cost will be determined by the number of individuals who sign up. Plan on a hotel room, and 6 meals and admissions. The cut off for sign-ups will be May 14.

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 4, April 2025

    Spring is definitely on its way and our upcoming events will get us ready to welcome the warmer weather and recharge our batteries.

    On Wednesday, April 2, we are going to have a day of food, fun and service. Lunch will begin at 11:30. After lunch we will play some bingo for some fabulous prizes that you bring like jigsaw puzzles you have already completely and the dog hasn’t eaten any pieces, books you have read, Knick knacks or decor that don’t fit your decor anymore!  We will end the day with a short service project at the church. Hope you will join us. Lunch is $7.

    On Thursday, April 24, we will go to the science center for the omnimax movie Super Human Body: World of Medical Marvels. This movie will take us on a journey into the human body and the incredible breakthroughs in science and technology. After the movie, we will go to Zia’s for lunch and you will have a chance to go across the street to Missouri Bakery!

    Beginning March16 we will be offering a class for children that have asking about baptism. If the child has accepted Christ and wants to know ‘what’s next’, this is the class for them. This class will be 4 consecutive Sundays during the Bible study hour from 9:15-10:15am. We also ask that a parent or parents attend with the child. Let me know if your child needs this class.

    Wed. night KidsZone is going well. Your younger kids are getting basics in the Bible and fun with friends in Awana and older kids are getting exposure to missions around the world through GA and RA. We have some spectacular leaders that are faithful to serve each week on Wednesdays and Sundays. Sundays also bring Bible study and Children’s worship or KidsZone that furthers them in their walk with the Lord. We could still use a few volunteers to help with worship care with elementary and preschool kids.  Please see me if you want to be part of helping kids further their relationship with Jesus. There will be no activities Wednesday, March19, due to Spring Break.

    Don’t forget to sign up for our tour of Campbell House on Thursday, March 13.  We will get a fascinating look inside the lives of a 19th century American family and their historic St. Louis home.  Built in 1851, this was the home of fur trader and entrepreneur Robert Campbell  from 1854 to 1938.  The cost of the tour is $10.  We will have lunch after at Crown Candy.  Dress to stand outside to get in to the restaurant.  They seat in groups of 4!

    I’m sure I’m one of the few enjoying the foot of snow on the ground right now but it is winter. We have already had to cancel one event but hopefully we will get to do the rest of our planned activities.

    On Monday, February 10, we will meet in the dining room at 11:00 for lunch which will include sandwiches, chips, and dessert.  After lunch we will make valentines for our homebound and the residents of St Andrews. If you have any supplies for making cards, please bring them along.

    On Monday, February 24, we will not be able to do the trolley tour that we had originally planned.

    INSTEAD, we will go to the Transportation Museum. The cost of the museum Is $14.00.  We will have lunch after at 3 Kings. The bus will leave at 10 a.m.  Many of the displays are outside so dress appropriately.

    Coming in March is Campbell House and Zia’s on March 13.

    Hello Families: 2025 is here and we have lots to offer our families. Wed. night KidsZone is going well. Your younger kids are getting basics in Bible and fun with friends in Awana and older kids are getting exposure to missions around the world through GA’s and RA’s. We have some spectacular leaders that are faithful to serve each week on Wednesdays and Sundays. Sundays also bring Bible study and Children’s worship that furthers them in their walk with the Lord.

    Tyler and I are planning a conference for parents relating to gender identity. This will probably be on a Wed. night. All parents, grandparents and teachers will be invited to attend. If you have questions about homosexuality, gender identity and how to speak to your children, this will be for you. Watch for further info on this event.

    Last but not least, Parent’s Night Out is Feb. 14, 5-9pm. Parents, you can have a night out with your valentine. Watch for signup sheets in the Connection Center. If you can serve at this event, please sign up for that too.

    Parent’s Night Out was a complete success – thanks for Jessica Bright for hosting and the other adults and youth who served!  Thank you everyone for your hard work, love for our children and service to our Lord!

    Most of you know it takes many hands to have a God-honoring Children’s Ministry. We have some openings that need adults to help make these ministries to our families successful and safe. None of these are hard and some are just once a month. It just takes willing individuals to be used by God to love our kids.

    2 more adults each Sunday for preschool worship care (work 1 Sun. /month)

    KidsZone helpers (1 adult to assist the leader each Sun. work 1/month)

    1 more adult to help a child on Wed. nights to learn their scripture (each Wed. night from 6-7pm)

    If you can serve, please talk to me. God can use you in a wonderful way!

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No.1, January 2025

    2025!  Doesn’t seem that long ago when we were concerned about what would happen when the year 2000 came.  Would our computers continue to work?  Would our worldwide infrastructure collapse.  Looking back, that is almost laughable.  So, let’s just trust God and welcome 2025.

    We have some fun things planned for the first quarter.  Our first event is an inhouse movie of Wednesday, January 8.  If it is available, we will watch The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.  If not, I will find a great substitute.  Lunch will include soup, sandwiches and dessert and will cost $7.  Lunch will begin at 11:30.

    On Wednesday, January 29, we will leave for the Butterfly House at 10 am.  If it is available, you might be able to take a whirl on the carousel.  After this we will head to the Old Spaghetti Factory in Chesterfield for lunch. The cost of admission is $12.75.

    Here is a list of the rest of the activities for the quarter:

    Monday, February 10 at 11 am.  Sandwiches for lunch and making valentines for shut-ins and residents of St. Andrews Assisted Living.

    Monday, February 24 at 10am.  African American History Trolley Tour by Bellefontaine Cemetery.  Lunch TBA.

    Thursday, March 13 at 10 am.  Tour of the Campbell House.  $10/person and lunch at Zia’s.

    Sounds as if our year will be off to a great start.  Don’t forget to sign up in the Connection Center.
