  • Family Front, Vol. 65, No. 10, October 2025

    Hello Church,

    This past month has been a whirlwind getting fall programs into place! We had a great first day back at Awana, Royal Ambassadors, and Girls in Action on Wednesday, September 10th. This looks to be a fun year of Wednesday night programming!

    We are beginning to open our infant room again on Sunday mornings which is so exciting. However, to do so we will need the church’s participation and help. We need 2 more volunteers to serve during the Bible study hour as well as a couple of substitutes who can cover any absences. Please reach out to me if you feel the pull to work with our infants and toddlers! We will also have a wish list of items needed for our new infant room so be on the lookout for that!

    Later this fall we will again be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat which is such an amazing community outreach. Be on the lookout for information on that and begin thinking about how you’d love to decorate your trunk! This is such a fun and laid-back way to bring our community onto our campus and begin planting seeds of hope.

    As a closing, please pray for our children’s programming. We want to provide great biblical teachings, loving volunteers, and be a space in our community where kids love to be. Please pray that we are able to accomplish all of this and in so doing, lead children to salvation and a personal relationship with Jesus.

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 10, October 2025

    We had a lovely Breakfast in the Park September 8; beautiful weather and great food.

    Fall is such a beautiful time of year. Your Senior Adults are out and about in fellowship and ministry and, almost always, great food! October, November, December events:

               October 6 – Omnimax theater and lunch (movie TBD) leave at 10am

               October 15 – Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event. Leave church at 2pm            and return by 5:30. There are jobs for those who cannot stand. We have spots for 20 people at this time slot. If you want to know more check this out at

    October 22 – Lone Elk Park and lunch (leave at 10am)

    November 14, 9pm – “White Christmas musical by Missouri Baptist University

    Students including lunch. Tickets are $25 due Nov. 2 to Kathy, Bus will leave at 8am from church.

    November 12 – Pere Marquette Lodge/lunch, leave at 10am

    December– see the lights and a ministry project (dates TBD)

    On most outings, we usually return between 2-3pm.

    If you haven’t participated in any event with this group, it’s time for you to check this out; and, of course, bring a friend. We always want to be in the business of inviting friends to be part of this great fellowship at Fee Fee Baptist Church!

    Watch for more details on all of these events. Signup sheets will be in the café so we know how many to plan on.

    I am very excited to begin my new position as Director of Senior Adults and Care Ministries. I met in August with the Senior Adult Council to plan for October, November, December events. We always want to be in the business of inviting friends to be part of this great fellowship at Fee Fee Baptist Church!

    Hello Church,

    I am so grateful for such a warm welcome into my new role here as the Fee Fee Kids Director. Everyone has had the kindest words of encouragement and I am so thankful for that. I’m still learning the role, but in the meantime, our amazing children’s team volunteers have really stepped up to fill in the gaps for our Sunday School classes and Kids Zone. My goal is to build a robust team of strong Christian leaders who can support each another and lift up our church families by bringing the gospel to the next generation. We don’t want to exhaust our current volunteers, so we’re looking for more people to join our team. You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity to serve with us!

    Speaking of serving with us, we have Wednesday night programming starting back up! Everything will spring back into action on September 10th. Birth-2nd Grade will be doing AWANA, and Grades 3-5 will be doing Royal Ambassadors  & Girls in Action. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you feel called to join us!

    I would love to share a little bit of my background to help you get to know me better. I grew up in a family with five siblings, four of whom were adopted into our family when I was nine. I was originally born in St. Louis, but my parents wanted to explore the US, so growing up we lived in Missouri, Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama, and Indiana. I returned to St. Louis for college at Maryville University where I graduated with my doctorate of physical therapy and met my husband Adam. I’ve been practicing physical therapy for the past 11 years as a pediatric physical therapist in area homes and schools and am board certified as a pediatric clinical specialist. I also have experience operating a local non-profit organization for children with disabilities. Adam and I moved to Maryland Heights in 2017 and welcomed our two daughters, Kylie & Joanna. We started church hunting after we moved back to the area and joined Fee Fee in 2019. As a family, we love spending time together and being active, so you’ll frequently find us exploring outdoors, bicycling, or training on the jiu-jitsu mats.

    I’m looking forward to working with you all!

    Thank you, Church, for your generous support and faithful service during VBS and Sports camp in July!   WOW! You prayed, you provided materials, you volunteered, you gave your time and energy to see that kids heard the gospel in a new way and maybe for the first time. Thank you! I hear from parents that they had heard so much about our week that their kids wanted to come! That is a great compliment of your efforts! I praise God that He works through us!

    I also want to say of word of thanks for the almost 17 years you have allowed me to serve as the Director of Children and Family Ministries. You have ministered to me and my family in these years. It has been a wonderful experience. I value the friendships I’ve made and look forward to more years together in a different kind of service. Thank you for your trust in me. I know you will give Liz the same kind of support and love as she steps in to continue the kids’ ministry. I’m looking forward to serving with her.

    God is so good! Let’s continue to serve together as we continue to share the gospel with our community.

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 8, August 2025

    As most of you know, I will no longer be the serving as the Senior Adult Director after the middle of August.  You will be in the capable hands of my friend and co-worker, Kathy Scott.  She will not only provide you with fun activities and service projects but will also provide a care ministry.  This is a very good thing for the seniors and something I was unable to do a good job of providing because of my other job responsibilities.  It has been a pleasure serving you and serving with you over these past years.

    Activities in August kick off with an inhouse activity Wednesday, August 6.  We will have lunch, including watermelon, at 11 followed by games.  Bring your favorite game and join in a game that you have never played before.  The cost of lunch and watermelon is $7.

    From Monday, August 18-August 21, we will have our annual Adult VBS from 9:30-noon.  Plan to attend and bring some friends.  While I generally don’t have a topic this early, I do this year.  We are going to be looking at the Gospel according to Moses.  This will be a study of places, events, and people in the Old Testament who show us that God had always planned to send us a savior and you can see that plan start to unfold in the Old Testament.  Let’s explore the gospel through a new perspective.

    Pray for our 11 kids and 1 adult going to Encounter Kids’ Camp, July 9-12 at Lake of the Ozarks (formerly known as Windermere). Pray that they will worship God there and have a safe and great time!

    True North VBS and Game On! Sports camp is July 14-18. Please be praying for the children coming to hear more about Jesus in new a fresh way; pray for our volunteers who work so faithfully and lovingly to see that kids hear how they can trust Jesus in this wild world; pray for our church that we will welcome children and families in a way that they will want to return.

    We are always in need of people to care for our little ones. It’s a behind-the scenes-service opportunity but very important and needed. I hope this poem stirs your heart as it did mine to serve.

    My Turn in the Nursery:

    Last Sunday was my turn in the nursery to work.

    My heart wasn’t in it, and my feelings were hurt.

    A child from it’s mother did not want to part.

    And cried a lot with it’s broken heart.

    I prayed that soon the hour would end,

    That I could relax, have lunch and be free.

    I said once a month was too much for me!

    That very next Sunday, as I sat in the pew,

    A very good sermon but visitors were few

    But down came a woman and her soul was saved;

    And she was the mother of the crying babe.

    Then it dawned on me that I had been a part

    Of one being saved, giving God her heart.

    From that day on I would never dread

    Working in the nursery while souls were being fed.

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 7, July 2025

    We are hitting 90 degrees for the first time this summer today.  I’m not a big fan of heat so we are going to do a couple of in-house activities this summer.  The first one is Wednesday, July 9 .  Join us for lunch at 11:00.  We will be having a potato bar and dessert.  Yum!  When we finish lunch, we will watch the Sight and Sound production of David.  Sounds like a great day to me.

    Then on Monday, July 23rd, we will journey to Fitz’s root beer for a tour followed by lunch there. The bus will leave church at 10 am.

    Also, we now have a date locked in with St. Andrew’s for our quarterly service project.  On September 24 at 10 a.m., we will go across the street to paint nails for the residents.  We are going to need lots of colors for them to choose from so pick up some inexpensive bottles of polish next time you are in that area of a store,

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 6, June 2025

    It’s summer already.  Time is moving fast and we have great opportunities for you to enjoy this summer.

    On Wednesday, June 4th we will go to Grant’s farm. Admission is free but the bus ride and parking will be $4 per person.  We will begin with a tram ride through the farm.  After that you will be able to feed baby goats, experience the petting zoo and end the day at the Clydesdale barn.  We will then have lunch at 3 Kings.

    On Monday, June 23 we will tour the Cathedral Basilica and then have lunch at Blueberry Hill!  The cathedral was completed in 1914.  It has the largest collection of mosaics in the world outside of Russia.  We will take a tour, visit the gift shop and then head for Blueberry Hill, the late Chuck Berry’s restaurant.

    The senior adult council met last week and planned the July – September activities.  We have several inhouse activities because of the summer heat and a service project that I hope you will all participate in.

  • Family Front, Vol. 65, No. 6, June 2025

    I’m A Christian Now Class is right around the corner beginning June 15. This class is for kids that are awaiting baptism. If the child has accepted Christ and wants to know ‘what’s next’, this is the class for them. This class is 4 consecutive Sundays during the Bible study hour from 9:15-10:15am. We also ask that a parent or parents attend with the child. We teach them what living as a Christian means, what the Lord’s Supper and baptism mean; what the church is; and how to grow as a Christian. Let me know if your family would like to attend.

    VBS is coming! VBS is coming! – July 14-18, 2025 brings an exciting week to our Church. TRUE NORTH: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World will be from 9am-12 noon. Online registration is up and running on the website to register any child that has completed K-5th grade. If you would like to volunteer, There is a Fun Shop on Sunday, June 29. See me with questions or to say: “I’m in”! Find the registration form through our website at https://feefeebc.org/vbs-2025/.  Our leaders will be teaching kids scripture, bible accounts, science gizmos and recreation to learn more about trusting Jesus!

    That same week, we will offer GAME ON! Sports camp in the afternoon, 1pm-4pm. A different sport each day will engage children and give them the basics. We will play lots of fun games, offer snack and have devotion time. Kids will hear about Jesus in a unique way and have lots of fun! If children are coming for the day (VBS in a.m. and sports camp in afternoon) they can bring a lunch. Sports camp is $50 /child who has completed Kindergarten through 5th grade. You need to fill out only one form for both VBS and Sports Camp to register a child. One registration form per child.

    Encounter Kids Camp is happening July 9-12 at Lake of the Ozarks (formerly known as Windermere). This camp is for kids that are going into 3rd through 6th grade. If your child is interested, please notify me. Cost per child will be $50; the church will pay the rest.
