  • Family Front, Vol. 66, No. 3, March 2026

    We have been working on our social media presence over the last few weeks. I hope you’ve had a chance to check those out! We plan to have weekly videos available online for the foreseeable future. There will also be website updates. Depending on how technology savvy you are, this might or might not excite you, but it is huge for young families who are determining if Fee Fee Baptist Church might be the right fit for them.

    Coming up this month:

    Friday, March 6th- Nerf Night! This is great family fun. Bring your Nerf guns or borrow one of the church’s- and we will supply the darts.

    Sunday, March 15th- Kids’ Leaders Meeting. We will be discussing VBS plans (July 13-17) as well as our Fall 2026 mid-week program plans.

    Friday, March 27th– The Anchored Home!  You requested parenting guidance, we got it on the calendar! We will be bringing in a speaker who teaches parenting/grandparenting from the bible and gives wonderfully practical tips to incorporate at home.   • Prime Time, Vol. 66, No. 3, March 2026

    n the month of February, your senior adult group served 2 local places. We collected items for our neighbors at the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Thank you church for your generosity! We also met on Feb. 12 and made and delivered Valentines for Bentley’s, a local assisted living home. It was a nice connection as we spoke with people there.

    Monday, March 9 we are travelling east on Route 66 to see the largest catsup bottle in America in Collinsville IL and a small historic town of Hamel IL for historic Wayside Marker and lunch at Weezy’s. On March 26 (NOT March 30 as was previously printed) we are taking a trip to Perryville MO to see the Missouri National Veterans Memorial. Other potential outings may include: Katy Trail trolley tour and Warm Springs Ranch (Clydesdales) in Boonville. In September, we are planning a 5-day trip to Gatlinburg TN for Jubilee Celebration.

    Your Senior group is going and growing! If you haven’t participated in any event with this group, it’s time for you to check this out; and, of course, bring a friend.   • Family Front, Vol. 66, No. 2, February 2026

    We are settling into our January changes as February rolls in. At the same time, we are beginning to gear up for this year’s events.  Mark your calendars for February 22nd for Chili, mac n cheese, and games night & March 6th for our Family Nerf Night. And I know this seems a bit wild, but please also mark your calendars for this year’s VBS July 13-17th. July feels so far away, but it will be here before we know it! I hear that we love to go big for our VBS at Fee Fee so am excited to see what that means from this new vantage point as kids’ director.

    To bring everyone up to speed, our kids’ programs saw a 60% increase in 2025, absolutely incredible. On any given Sunday morning we have around 40-50 kids participating in kids’ programming (infants-5th grade) and as many as 15-20 additional if you include the youth (6th-12th grade). Those are pretty significant numbers that are likely to continue growing as our community changes and we welcome in more young families. These numbers represent young lives that are hungry for the gospel. We have some amazing volunteers serving these kids and their families but as the number of kids increases, we will also need the number of volunteers to increase. I can assure you that there is a spot for everyone to serve: whether it be as a teacher on Sunday morning or Wednesday night, an event chaperone, a snack distributor, a one on one relationship builder, a willing substitute, an event planner, or even serving as the lead for a new kids’ ministry opportunity (like our kids’ choir!) Come join kids’ ministry and avoid giving the devil a foothold as Proverbs 16:27 warns “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece.” I can assure you that there is nothing idle about serving with kids!

    We are looking for diaper donations: size 1, 2, 3, 4, pull up donations size 3T/4T and 5T/6T, and new, unopened underwear donations sizes 3T, 4T, 5T. If you have the ability to bring these to the kids’ area in the back, we would so appreciate it!

    To close, please pray for our Fee Fee Kids’ programs, volunteers, and kids. We want God to lead us in this new year and going forward. Pray that we follow Him and His plans rather than trusting in our own abilities and plans.

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 66, No. 2, February 2026

    February will be project month for our church sponsored by our senior adults. I hope you will come join us for these two ministry opportunities in our community.

    The month of February we will be collecting items for our neighbor, the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. This is a WHITE OUT SHOWER. Bring white items to support the work of MBCH. Here is the list: paper towels, dinner napkins, facial tissue, toilet tissue, cotton balls, Q-tips, kitchen linens/bath linens, sheets and pillowcases (twin size), and laundry detergent. Please bring items to the church collection area by

    Feb. 22. The senior adults will deliver them that week. Thank you for your generous giving.

    Feb. 12 we will make valentines for a local senior living place starting at 10am. Come and help us minister to those like us! We will provide the craft supplies to make the valentines. Then we will eat lunch together. Please sign up in the café so we know how much lunch to provide. There is no cost for this lunch.

  • Family Front, Vol. 66, No. 1, January 2026

    The New Year is here! With the new year, we will begin implementing changes within our kids’ programming. One of these changes you might notice pretty quickly since the kids, K-5th, will all be in the worship center every Sunday for the worship music. If you notice them having difficulties paying attention, step over and lend a kind correction. This will go a long way for their learning and for the volunteers and parents working to guide them! Learning how to participate in a group takes time and practice as well as input from others who already know the responsibilities.

     

    January is pretty light on events, but we will be sending our 4th and 5th graders to SuperStart January 30th &31st. They are really excited!

     

    We are still looking for a few more volunteers. We would really love to have someone step into the role of our 2nd infant room teacher during the 9:15-10:15am hour. This is such a wonderful position, and you will find so much joy in this assignment- don’t let it pass you by! We would also love to have 2 or 3 adults who are ready to love on our grade school kids during the service. I’m not going to lie; they’re a handful at times! However, their energy and desire for fun is contagious, and you’ll find yourself bringing out that inner child once more. Please come find me and we can chat over coffee or lunch to see where you might fit in.

     

    In this new year we are planning to put more time and effort into family ministry and what that looks like here at Fee Fee Baptist Church. Pastor Britton and I have done some research and reaching out to a variety of churches and while many churches have something called “family ministry” it does not appear that any feel impactful or truly effective in this area. This revelation is exciting and daunting all in one. What we know is that God is putting family ministry on many hearts here at our church and that if He is leading us in the direction of family ministry then He will provide. Please pray for our kids, our volunteers, and our families here at Fee Fee!

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 66, No. 1, January 2026

    Happy New Year! I am loving hanging out with the Senior Adults and being their director. What a fun bunch! If you haven’t been part of this fellowship, please come with us. You will find signup sheets with info on our events in the coffee café.

    December 11 We had the opportunity to eat at Das Bevo and to see Christmas lights. Great food and great fellowship!

     

    Thursday, Jan. 15 we will visit the World Chess Hall of Fame and eat lunch at the Kingside Diner. I hope you will come! You can even take a chess lesson! Learning, fun AND food! What could be better? We plan to leave church at 10am.

     

    In February/March we will do projects for MO Baptist Children’s Home and St. Andrew’s senior center. More details on that in the February Forerunner.

  • Family Front, Vol. 65, No. 12, December 2025

    The Christmas season is upon us! We are really looking forward to all of our events taking place here at Fee Fee: the Christmas program, Parents’ Day Out, and our Christmas Eve service. And I know my family is excited for all of our Christmas traditions: holiday lights & Ted Drewes, decoration of our house, gingerbread house creations, and fun family gatherings. It is so easy to get swept up in all of the busy activities and forget why we celebrate this season in the first place. I encourage all of you to take a moment with each activity and remember that we celebrate because Jesus chose to be born in incredibly humble circumstances so that he could fulfil scriptures and save us all. What an amazing event to celebrate!

    Honing in on our children’s programming, we have come a long way in just the last four months. We easily have over 20 new or re-imagined volunteers who have stepped up to fill the needs in our Fee Fee Kids’ ministry. I am incredibly grateful for this team of people. They love kids, take ownership of their responsibilities, and have servants’ hearts. With this amazing coverage, we have successfully re-opened our infant room for our littlest church attendees! Please let me know if you’d like to join this thriving team. We welcome new additions and are especially looking to add to our Kindergarten through 5th grade volunteers!

    Kids’ December Events

     

    • Parents Day Out on December 13th, 11am-3pm. Our parents and kids all love this event! It gives parents a lunch date or a chance to nap uninterrupted. The kids get a chance to shop for Christmas gifts for their families and have a great time with friends. Sign up for the event is in the coffee cafe. We are still looking for gifts that the kids can shop for in our little store and we would love a few more volunteers to help this event run smoothly.
    • Bake Sale on December 14th, before and after Sunday School in the Welcome Center. Come support our 4thand 5th graders and their fundraiser for Super Start weekend retreat in January!

    This time of year is so beautiful! I do enjoy the changing of the seasons! Fall is such a beautiful time of year. I’m so thankful we have such a creative creator! I am also loving hanging out with the Senior Adults and being their director. What a fun bunch! If you haven’t been part of this fellowship, please come with us.     Thursday December 11 is our next outing to see Christmas lights. We will leave church at 4pm and eat lunch then drive through the WAY OF LIGHTS at Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville IL. All you will need to pay for is your meal. Sign up in the café so we will know how many buses to take. Watch for other info on events in the new year (Chess Hall of Fame, 2 projects for MO Baptist Children’s Home and St. Andrew’s senior center, and much more).

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 11, November 2025

    Fall is such a beautiful time of year. Your Senior Adults are out and about in fellowship and ministry and, almost always, great food! See below November and December events:

    November 12 – Pere Marquette Lodge/lunch, leave at 10am. This is family style meal but each person will pay for their portion.

    November 14 – Missouri Baptist University is hosting “White Christmas” performed by the students and Chick-Fil-A lunch. It is $25 for play and lunch. Get to Kathy or Church office by Nov. 2 cash or check made out to Fee Fee Baptist Church. The play is at 9am so bus will leave at 8am. Sounds like a delightful morning together. Sign up in Café if you plan to attend.

    December– see the lights and a ministry project (dates TBD)

    We usually return between 2-3pm for all events.

    Hello Church,

    By the time this message gets put into circulation we will have had our Trunk or Treat and will be gearing up for Christmas programming! I’m so excited to share that we will be doing a children’s nativity as part of the pre performances this year! If you’ve been at Fee Fee long enough you might remember that this was done years ago and is fondly remembered as being absolutely adorable. What a wonderful way to have our children fully involved in worshiping Jesus’ birth this season.

    I also really need to share that I am so encouraged by the servants’ hearts on display here at Fee Fee. There are many new volunteers who have offered their time to strengthen our children’s program and love on these amazing kids. We also have several current volunteers who stepped into new roles and are absolutely thriving. This past month we even had church members, not specifically with the children’s area, filling immediate kids’ area needs without hesitation or assumption that “someone else” would take care of it. This is what the body of Christ is all about!

    To conclude, we are headed in the right direction and it is incredible to be a part of this great team. We are always on the look out for more volunteers so please let me know if you feel a pull to work on our Fee Fee Kids’ team. Regardless of whether you’re a volunteer with our children’s ministry or not, please pray for our children’s programming: that we effectively teach biblical principles, form meaningful connections with children, their families, and each other, and most importantly, lead children to salvation and a personal relationship with Jesus.
