Our next event is at the church on Tuesday, June 22 at 11:30 a.m. We will have sandwiches and dessert in the Dining Room followed by the movie, Ruby Bridges. This movie is the “true story of one little girl whose strength and dignity during the racially charged 1960s helped changed history.” The cost for lunch is $6.00.
The senior council met a few weeks ago and planned activities for July, August, and September. I still need to verify all the dates, but I can promise you a Saturday evening of games, watermelon, and homemade ice cream; a trip to the Churchill Museum in Fulton; guest speakers; a trip to Casey, Illinois; and the Amana Colonies. Details will be in the next Forerunner. For now, put these two July events on your calendar:
- Saturday, July 10 at 6:00 p.m. we will enjoy homemade ice cream, watermelon, and games! Bring your favorite game and we will provide the food! Cost is $5.00.
- Monday, July 26 at 9:00 a.m. we will leave for a day at the Churchill Museum in Fulton. Cost for the Museum is $9.00, $3.00 for bus ride, and buy your own lunch.
Are you having a great start to the summer? Hope you are getting back into the habit of coming to church and Bible Study each week. It is so good to be connected in corporate worship and studying together.
