What is Parent-Child Dedication?

Parent-Child Dedication is a ceremony where parents make a public commitment before God and our church family to raise their child according to Christian principles. Unlike baptism, this dedication is a symbol of the parents’ promise to create a home where faith in Christ is central and to guide their children toward developing their own personal relationship with God.

Why Participate in Parent-Child Dedication?

This ceremony acknowledges that children are a gift from God and celebrates the responsibility and joy of parenthood. By participating, you’re recognizing your need for community support on your parenting journey and embracing the church family’s role in helping nurture your child’s spiritual growth. It’s a beautiful first step in your child’s faith journey.

How to Prepare for the Ceremony?

Before the dedication day, we encourage parents to reflect on their own faith journey and consider how they plan to incorporate Christian teachings into their parenting. Our staff can provide resources to help you establish faith practices in your home. Remember to invite family and friends to witness this special moment as you commit to raising your child in a Christ-centered home.
