Mission Statement

Connecting people to the unifying and life-transforming power of the gospel.

01. Connecting People

We want to consistently and intentionally turn the
attention of the people around us to the gospel.

02. Unifying

We are trusting in the power of the gospel to bridge every divide in our personal lives, our church, and our community.

03. Life-Transforming

We are trusting in the power of the gospel (and only the gospel) to transform lives.

04. Power

We want to connect people to the gospel because we believe that the gospel is the power of God for salvation—not just an “entrance ticket” to heaven, but complete redemption and restoration

05. The Gospel

God loved a broken and sinful world so much that he sent his only Son to die and rise again for us, so that we could be made new and have eternal life.

Our Values

Engaging Worship

Our corporate gatherings should not be boring attempts to earn religious participation trophies— they should be dynamic celebrations of God’s work in our lives and in our world. Everything we do together as believers should clearly demonstrate and communicate the gospel, which should draw believers into worship and convict non-believers of their need for salvation.

Transformational Relationships

We were designed for community, not isolation. We can only connect people to the unifying and life-transforming power of the gospel if we establish meaningful relationships with others— both inside the church and outside.

Scripture-Centered Discipleship

God communicates the gospel to us in Scripture. The more we study the Bible, the more we should see God’s character, his love for us, his plan to redeem rebellious people in a sin-marred world— all of which should help us better understand and experience the power of the gospel in our lives.

Member-led Ministry

God has gifted each member to serve the church and connect others inside and outside the church to the gospel. Therefore, we want to equip and empower each church member to use their gifts, talents, passions, and relationships to connect believers and non-believers alike to the power of the gospel.

Intentional Outreach

People in Bridgeton need the power of the gospel. In fact, people around the world need the power of the gospel. We want to be intentional about taking the gospel into our community and around the world. However, we also want to be intentional with how we engage the community and the world. We want to look for strategic opportunities to meet needs and establish partnerships, and above all, we want to follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance for the most effective outreach.

Prayer-powered Action

We are powerless to accomplish this monumental task. Our only hope is to become totally dependent upon the Holy Spirit’s power to guide our ministry efforts and to produce fruit with those efforts.
