    Trivia Night 2021

    Join us on Saturday, November 6 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. for a night of trivia, prizes, silent auction, and lots of fun and food! The cost is only $80 for a table of 8. Plan on attending this fun event and invite your family, coworkers, neighbors, and friends to join you. They do NOT have to attend Fee Fee to come to Trivia Night.  Sign up for a table in the Connection Center or by contacting Andrew (andrew@feefeebc.org). All the money raised that night will go towards our youth going on their mission trip to Washington D.C. next summer! 

    Every year we have some great giveaways and silent auction items that are all donated. If you have items that you are willing to donate (sports tickets, filled gift baskets, gift cards, etc.) please let Andrew know as soon as possible.

    Starting Point

    For anyone interested in becoming a member of Fee Fee Baptist Church we want to invite you to Starting Point on Sunday, November 21. Immediately following the 2nd service that day we will have lunch and then talk through what it means to be a member of the church and how you can connect here! Contact Andrew (andrew@feefeebc.org or (314) 739-1525) to sign up. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, November 14.

    Operation Christmas Child Kick Off

    The Operation Christmas Child boxes will be available on Tuesday, October 19! Every year thousands of boxes are sent to children all over the world through Samaritan’s Purse. This is an opportunity to bless kids in need with presents and the Gospel. So make sure to pick up your box (or 2 or more), fill it, and bring it back by November 17!

    Angel Signups and Rehearsal Information

    This year we will have Cassie McKeown from Dance Factory to lead our little angels. Cassie is planning to hold rehearsals at the Dance Factory studio on Sundays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. starting October 10. Rehearsals will be every Sunday, except for November 28, leading up to the performance dates. Dance Factory is located very close to our church at 22 Fee Fee Rd. in Maryland Heights.

    Please sign your child up on the Angel list located in the Connection Center. There is no audition process. All children 6 years old and older are welcome. We look forward to our “host of angels” for 2021.

  • Devotional Corner – Vol. 61, No. 19

    Taken from Henry T. Blackaby and Richard Blackaby’s “Experiencing God Day By Day”

    “And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in Him,” (1 John 4:16)

    The greatest truth in all Scripture is this: God is love. Understanding this in its full dimensions will set you free to enjoy all that is yours as a Christian. But you must accept that God loves you. If you grew up experiencing unconditional love in your family, this may not be difficult for you. However, if your early years were void of love, this truth may be hard to accept. God loves you, not because you deserve His love, but because His nature is love. The only way He will ever relate to you is in love. His love for you gives you an inherent worth that nothing can diminish.

    If you cannot accept the truth that God loves you, you will be limited in how you can relate to Him. When He disciplines you, you will not take it as an expression of His love. Rather, you may resent Him. When God says no to a request that is less than His best for you, you will conclude that He doesn’t care about you. Without a clear understanding and acceptance of God’s love for you, you will be disoriented to him and to what He wants to do in your life. If you will accept God’s love, however, you will be able to return love to God as well as to others (1 John 4:19).

    Midweek Activities

    We have begun our new church year for midweek activities, with AWANA for kids from 6:00-7:00 p.m. There is something for ALL ages: Puggles for ages birth-2; Cubbies for age 3 through Pre-K; Sparks and TnT for K-3rd grades; and the new mission-focused program called Kids in Action for 4th and 5th grade LIVEWIRES. And parents, there are Bible Study options for you as well: Bible Study and Prayer with Pastor Zach; Men’s Bible Study; and Women’s Bible Study. We would love to have you join!

    Trunk or Treat

    Put Trunk or Treat on your calendar for Sunday, October 31, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Be thinking about how you want to be involved: have a decorated trunk to give out candy, help setup and clean up, greet people, or face paint.  Of course, we will be collecting a TON of candy starting October 10. There will be an area to deposit your candy donations. Let’s BOOOO-tifully meet and serve our community on October 31 in the afternoon, then you have the evening free to meet YOUR community of trick-or-treaters!

    Ministry Opportunity

    We are in need of people who are willing to serve their church! We need loving caring workers for preschool care during worship. Please let me know if you can serve our families in this way. As always, thank you for your willing heart to serve.

  • Chi Alpha News – Vol. 61, No. 19

    Summer 2022 Mission Trip Announcement

    We are so excited to announce the location of our upcoming Summer 2022 Mission Trip to………Washington DC! The dates of the trip will be June 11-17, 2022, and we will again be partnering with Praying Pelican Missions. For more info on the trip, make sure you come to our Parent Info Meeting on Sunday, October 17 right after the 11:00 a.m. service. We hope you will join us!

    Youth & Family Trip to Eckert’s (Millstadt)

    On Saturday, October 16, we will be heading to Eckert’s Farm in Millstadt, Illinois for a great fall day of fun! We will get to the farm at 3:00 p.m. Feel free to either meet us there as a family, or you can meet us at church if you need a ride (we will leave church at 2:15 p.m.). The cost for the event is $10/person, which covers your admission to the farm and your dinner. While there, you can enjoy hayrides, the corn maze, the pumpkin canon, plus the bonfire we reserved! This event is open to the whole family, so we hope you will join us! Your student can sign your family up in the Rafters – the deadline to sign up is Wednesday, October 13. We hope to see you there!

    Christmas Choir Rehearsals

    Rehearsals for our Christmas Choir will begin on September 26. These rehearsals will be held in the choir room and start time at 3:30 p.m. All singers will need to have been fully vaccinated and wear a singer’s mask which will be provided for you. Please respond to tara@feefeebc.org if you wish to participate, and have not already responded.

    Moses

    As we have begun reading the book of Exodus, I have been reminded of a piece by Ken Medema entitled Moses. The piece is almost like a mini-musical and is very creatively written to tell the story of Moses.   • A Word From Pastor Zach – Vol. 61, No. 19

    Church Family,

    We have a couple of things to celebrate for this issue of the Forerunner. First of all, thank you so much for serving our community during our third annual Impact Week. From September 12-18, our church gave 458.5 hours of volunteer service to our community!

    Our church served at places like the St. Louis County Area Food Bank, Loaves and Fishes, Room at the Inn, the Sonshine Place, New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church, Bridgeton City Hall, our public parks, and more. We had people write cards and bake cookies. People prepared and delivered meals. We did yard work and painted a home and did basic repairs. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. I am so incredibly thankful for the way our church stepped up and served our community!

    Also, I wanted you to know that, at least in one circumstance, our church having new shirts to wear specifically for our local missions projects during Impact Week paid dividends. While serving at the Food Bank with our staff, I got to strike up a conversation with a couple who were pleasantly surprised to see a bunch of us in our Fee Fee shirts serving. In fact, after talking with them about Impact Week and what our church was doing, they asked for more information so they could come and visit sometime soon. That was pretty exciting! It reminded me about the passage we examined in Matthew 5, where Jesus says that when we are a light in our community, the world sees our good deeds and glorifies our Father in Heaven. And that is just one example of how our Impact Week made a positive impression on those in our community.

    In addition to a successful Impact Week, I also want to take a moment to celebrate the fact that this month marks the 25th anniversary of Mike Bayles’ employment here at FFBC! Mike, who is our Maintenance Supervisor, is an incredible hard worker who has served our church so well for the past quarter-century. The Bible tells us to give honor where honor is due, so we are going to be recognizing Mike in our worship services on September 26. In addition to that recognition, we want to invite you to bring cards to show appreciation for Mike that Sunday.

    Let’s thank God for a great Impact Week, and let’s thank Him for Mike Bayles and his 25 years of service here!

    Impact Week Thanks

    Thank you to everyone that participated in our Impact Week! I was overwhelmed with seeing how many people were volunteering their time and showing compassion and love to our community. You worked in food pantries.  You helped paint homes. You donated items to refugees. You wrote thoughtful letters to people. You provided meals. You gave 458.5 hours of volunteering in one week’s time to make an impact in our community. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus! My prayer is that you will not limit this to just one week but that you will continue to have compassionate hearts and look for opportunities to serve our community year-round.

    Celebrating 25 Years

    In 1996, Fee Fee Baptist Church gained a loyal servant in the form of Mike Bayles. Displaying a dedicated work ethic, Mike excelled in his position and was soon promoted to his current role of Maintenance Supervisor.

    Over the years we have appreciated Mike’s hardworking attitude and his devoted excellence in everything he does at Fee Fee. We will be honoring Mike during the worship services on Sunday, September 26. Please take a moment to thank Mike for his 25 years of keeping Fee Fee running behind the scenes.

    Backpack Ministry

    One of the more rewarding ministries at Fee Fee Baptist Church is our Backpack Ministry. This ministry provides a bag of easy-prep foods for school-aged children in our school district. We want to make it as easy as possible for these kids to eat a nutritious and filling meal when they aren’t at school. But we can’t do this without you, Church! We need donations of granola bars, snack crackers, macaroni & cheese, fruit cups, applesauce cups, canned pasta, single-serve snacks or meals, and other easy-prep meals. You may leave these items in the Donation Center in the section marked “Backpack Ministry.” Alternatively, you can have these items shipped from any big box store to the church:
