    AWANA

AWANA for our kids is off to a great start. Families were able to help with THRIVE projects during Impact Week. “THRIVE cares about women in our community. Their goal is to have women walking out of the clinic feeling more encouraged and empowered than they did coming in.” If you would like to be part of this group of great AWANA teachers and helpers, talk to Kathy! We need every parent to help us this year by staying the first 10 minutes to work with one child on their memory verses, just listening to them say the verses they are learning each week.  This will help us tremendously in guiding children in learning God’s Word.

    Feed My Starving Children Event

We have another opportunity to serve as a church at Feed My Starving Children, September 24 at Gateway Christian Church, 9:30-11:45 a.m. (meet there at 9:00 a.m.). Reservations are required. . If you cannot come that day, there are many other 2-hour spots throughout that week. This is a great organization that packs mobile food to send to starving nations. Your efforts in that 2-hour time frame will make a big difference in children’s lives. You can turn hunger into hope with your own hands by packing nutritious meals for hungry children and families around the world. Here is link to help if you are still interested: give.fmsc.org/gateway

    Trunk or Treat

Put Sunday, October 30 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on your calendar for our annual Trunk or Treat event right here in the church parking lot. Be thinking how you want to decorate your trunk. I’d like everyone to depict a Bible story account with their trunk. We will be collecting candy starting October 1.

    Drama Opportunity for Kids

This fall we will be producing another kid’s Christmas story video to use in the Christmas production in December. If your child would like to be part of the that, email Kathy: kathy@feefeebc.org.

Thank you, Church, for your giving and responding to needs! It is a joy to serve with you!

    Serving Opportunities

Part of being a Christian is serving. Colossians 3:23-24 says, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.” We have needs here for people to plug in and use their gifts to serve. Some of those are in our preschool and children’s areas. Yes, we have a lot of wonderful people that already serve in this area, but it takes many to serve our children and families. Please talk to Kathy if you believe God can use you to serve in our children’s ministry. See Andrew if you would like to serve in other areas. Choose in this new year to actively serve the living God who gave so much for you!

    Impact Week

Impact Week is coming up September 12-18. Perhaps you and your family plan to meet a need in your community? Clean out gutters for a neighbor? Take cookies to police or fire stations? VBS/Sports Camp Recap

We had a wonderful week at Wilderness Escape VBS and Sports Crusaders basketball camp. The kids had so much fun and learned about the attributes of God. Thank you, Church, for providing the resources so we can host such great events for our families. We had 5 children give their lives over to Jesus! And we raised $344.00 for our alpaca mission project in Ecuador. I can’t say enough good things about our volunteers who gave their time in so many ways by leading the tribes, helping to set up and take down, doing crafts, teaching, and modeling Jesus. They were awesome!

    Preschool Care Needed

We are having more and more people returning to in-person worship so that means more children are needing care. Therefore that also means that loving, caring adults and teens are needed to help! If you can give your time during one worship service each month to care for our preschoolers, please contact Kathy (kathy@feefeebc.org). You will be doing a great service for our families and your church!

AWANA Club Awards Night is May 19 at 6:00 p.m.

    VBS Wilderness Escape, July 26-30, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Would you love to be a tribe leader to lead the children and preschoolers? Or maybe an Israelite Tent Host, where kids will learn desert life in the Israelite camp through various crafts and skills like: sandal stitcher, butter churner, weaver, and musician? Not sure where you fit in? Don’t worry! We have a place for you! Let’s have fun together as we show kids how God guides and provides in this unique way.

Can you help us gather supplies for VBS? We will be using A LOT of newspaper. So if you have any old newspapers, please bring them to me and we will put them to good use! A more extensive list will be provided next month listing all the supplies we will need help gathering for VBS.

A lot of hands will make this VBS a successful one! Sign up today to help in any of these ways. Please pray for the volunteers and kids as all the details fall into place for VBS 2021!

Sports Crusaders Basketball Camp, July 26-30, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Hey sports fans!! Have you missed out on sports this last year? Well, we have an opportunity for you! We will be hosting our annual basketball camp with the Sports Crusaders the same week as VBS, and we need some help to make this a successful event for our kids. Most of the needs will be helping to take care of our camp coaches and leaders, who are college students, as they work hard leading our kids in the sport. Housing, which includes bed and breakfast, and meal gift cards for other meals are the things we need help with for that week.

If you or your Bible Study groups can help with any of these things, please contact Kathy (kathy@feefeebc.org) or (314) 739-1525. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Please be in prayer for the workers, the children who will attend, and the Sports Crusaders, who will lead the basketball camp.

Registration for VBS and Sports Camp is available on our website: https://feefeebc.org/free-vbs-fee-fee/. There will be a limit to registration for both VBS and basketball camp, so register early.

Fee Fee Baptist, you are always so generous with your gifts of supplies and money when a need arises in the Children’s Ministry. THANK YOU for providing those gifts! You are a generous people! We are truly blessed!
