  • Prime Time – Vol. 62, No. 3

    It looks like the pandemic is finally waning. I’m hoping that soon I can see you all again face to face. It’s been a challenging season, but we have learned some valuable spiritual lessons during this time. One of those is that our lives are to be lived in community. We need the fellowship, encouragement, and iron sharpening iron in our lives that needs to be done in person. I hope that we haven’t become complacent and are satisfied with watching church in our jammies. It’s time to get back together so we can serve the church and the community.

    I’m looking forward to a very special Valentine’s Day with many of you in a cave. Yes, we are going to Meramec Caverns that day at 10:00 a.m. We will eat lunch and then go on a cave tour.  The tour lasts 1 hour and 20 minutes and the cave is ADA accessible. There is one spot that has a few steps but if you are unable to traverse them, you can remain there, and the group will loop back around to you.

    On Wednesday, February 23 we will meet in the Dining Room at 11:00 a.m. for chili and soup and then watch the movie, American Underdog. This is the story of our own Kurt Warner. Hope to see you then!

    Bandanas Fundraiser

    On Tuesday, March 8 we will be having a fundraiser for our Summer Mission Trip to Washington D.C. at Bandanas BBQ in Maryland Heights! So, mark your calendar now for your lunch and/or dinner plans for that day, grab some friends or family members, and go smell that smoke at Bandanas! A portion of your meal will go back to our missions team. Thank you for your continuous support of our student ministry!

    DNOW Weekend 2022

    I am so excited to announce our DNOW Weekend happening April 1-3! Our theme for this year is “Stand,” and students will learn how to stand firm in the spiritual battles they will face in the world and will learn how to put on the full Armor of God. Sign-ups for this weekend will begin soon, so stay tuned!

    Wagner/Sherer WOM Change

    The monthly Wagner/Sherer WOM meetings will now be held on the third Monday of each month. Due to conflict with Mobile Market and other events, we felt this was the best change for everyone. Ladies, please update your calendars to reflect this change. The next meeting will be on Monday, February 21.

    Weekday/night activities will be canceled on the days that the Pattonville School District goes to virtual learning due to inclement weather. This includes day and evening activities, including all Wednesday night activities. You may also check the closings on KTVI Channel 2 and KSDK Channel 5 on TV.   • A Word From Pastor Zach – Vol. 62, No. 3

    Church Family,

    When I first heard about Fee Fee Baptist, I spent some time researching the church before I came out here. One thing that struck me as interesting is how the church is located right in between both the St. Louis Metro Baptist Association and the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. I remember jokingly referring to our area as the “Baptist row of St. Louis.” What I found intriguing being so close to both the associational office and the Children’s Home was that it could make partnering with these organizations that much easier.

    I know that I have been blessed by the leadership of Darren Casper at the associational office. He has provided great insight and helped facilitate ministry partnerships for our church. In addition, it has been a blessing to have Rev. George Fulgham from the MBCH come and provide training for our youth and children’s volunteers. This is a training that we will be holding again in the spring.

    As we continue to examine ways to work together with these neighbors for the sake of the Gospel, I am excited to share that Derald Harris, the Vice President of Public Relations at the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, will be preaching for our annual Mid-Winter Bible Study on Sunday, February 13.

    In keeping with the tradition of this special Sunday, Derald Harris will be preaching a unique message in both services. We want to invite you to be a part of both of them as we get to hear God speak through him.

    A key component of the MBCH is that it is a place of “Restoration and Healing.” In the first service, Derald Harris will be preaching on God’s Restoring Grace, and how God restores believers to fellowship with himself and the family of God when we fall away. The second service will be focused on God’s Healing Grace, and how God heals our hurts, emotional scars, and feelings of low self-worth.

    It is always a blessing to be reminded that we aren’t trying to reach Bridgeton and St. Louis on our own. We can have great Kingdom-minded partnerships with places like the MBCH and the SLMBA. I want to encourage you to join us for our Mid-Winter Bible Study and join me in praying for the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home and the St. Louis Metro Baptist Association.

  • Family Front – Vol. 62, No. 3

    Missions

    On Sunday, April 3, our elementary children will be able to attend the North American Mission Study that will go from 9:45 a.m. through KidsZone and end at 12:00 p.m. This will be taught by our Bible Study teachers. We will focus on prayer for our Southern Baptist missionaries serving through the North American Mission Board and the people they serve. We will also highlight the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Mark your calendar!

    VBS 2022

    It’s not too early to begin setting time aside to help with VBS. Put July 18-22 on your calendar for our 2022 VBS called “MOMUMENTAL – Celebrating God’s Greatness.” There will be many different areas to help: registration, music leadership, station leader or helper, family group leader or helper, snacks, photographer and more! VBS will be in the mornings and Soccer Camp will be in the afternoon. There are volunteer spots for this too, especially if you have soccer skills. See me if you would like to serve.

    Serving Opportunity

    Part of being a Christian is serving. In addition to VBS, we have needs in the Children’s Ministry on a regular basis for people to plug in and use their gifts to serve. While we have many wonderful people already serving in this ministry, it takes many hands all areas to run smoothly.  Please see me if you believe God can use you to serve in our Children’s Ministry. Talk to Andrew if you would like to serve in other areas of the church. Choose this year to actively serve your church!

    Colossians 3:23-24 says: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.”

  • Community Connection – Vol. 62, No. 3

    Volunteer with Joni and Friends

    On Saturday, March 26, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., we have an opportunity to volunteer at Joni and Friends 2nd Annual Walk ‘n’ Roll. This event raises disability ministry awareness and needed ministry funding. Joni and Friends has been providing hope and help to those with disabilities for decades now. We are going to volunteer at this event by helping with set up, clean up, and serving lunch. There is no age limit to serve, so kids are welcome to serve with their parents! Sign up to serve in the Connection Center at church or by contacting Andrew (andrew@feefeebc.org).

    Blood Drive – March 18

    You can save lives by signing up to donate at our next Blood Drive on Friday, March 18, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Go to www.feefeebc.org/blooddrive or go to the Red Cross website (www.redcrossblood.org) and use the Sponsor Code “FeeFeeBaptistBridgeton” to find our drive and schedule your donation. Alternatively, you may call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to schedule. The drive will be held in the Family Life Center, so please park in the gym parking lot for easy access. On the blood drive page on the church website you can find some helpful info about donating, including who can donate and how to donate.     Mobile Markets 2022

    In our continued partnership with the St. Louis Area Foodbank, we will distribute food on the second Monday of every month, starting at 10:00 a.m. People can just pull through our parking lot and have free groceries put in their car, and anyone in the community is welcome! Also, please pass the word along to anyone in your life that you know may benefit from free groceries.

  • Bible Study Corner – Vol. 62, No. 3

    We have a place for everyone in Bible Studies on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. If you have never participated in a Bible Study, talk to Gloria and she will get you plugged in.

    We also have Bible Studies for everyone on Wednesday nights as well, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. There is something available for every age – pre-K, kids, youth, adults – and it is never too late to jump right in!

    I’m hoping some of you are starting up your small groups again. Don’t forget to invite your friends and neighbors into your home to join you. It’s a great way to get connected.

    Finally, if you would still like to study virtually, enlist in a Transformation group where you will be using the Marco Polo app. It’s a great way to share insights, encourage one another, pray for each other, and hold each other accountable for studying Scripture.

    We have classes for everyone.   If you don’t know where you could best plug in, contact Gloria or Andrew.  There is nothing sweeter than connecting with others around God’s love letter to us!

    While Women’s Bible Study is ongoing, we have just started an excellent new study by Lisa Harper entitled How Much More. It examines some of the hard-to-understand passages of the Old Testament to help us to see God’s love for us. I hope you can join us on Wednesday night in the Fellowship Hall (under the chapel) for this fabulous study. The women meet from 6:00-7:30 p.m.; the men also meet at the same time. Drop your children or grandchildren at AWANA and join us as we study Scripture together.

    Wednesday Night Dinner

    As we ease back into our routines again, we are reintroducing our Wednesday Night Dinners. However, instead of being weekly, we will be having them once a month. The next Wednesday Night Dinner will be on February 9 at 5:00 p.m., and Lasagna is on the menu for the night! Yum! Make sure to sign up in the Connection Center!

    Mid-Winter Bible Study

    Join us on Sunday, February 13, at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for our annual Mid-Winter Bible Study. This year our guest speaker will be Derald Harris. Each service will be different, so feel free to show up for both! We look forward to seeing you here!

    Loaves & Fishes Ministry

    For several years we have been serving dinner on the third Tuesday of the month at Loaves and Fishes. If your Bible Study group, T-group, women’s, or men’s group, or just your family would be willing to provide a meal in the upcoming months, please contact Gloria or Andrew.     Backpack Ministry

    One of the more rewarding ministries at Fee Fee Baptist Church is our Backpack Ministry. This ministry provides a bag of easy-prep foods for school-aged children (K-12) in our school district. We want to make it as easy as possible for these kids to eat a nutritious and filling meal when they aren’t at school. But we can’t do this without you, Church! We need donations of chewy granola bars (no whole nuts), snack crackers, mac & cheese, fruit cups, applesauce cups, canned pasta, rice cups, single-serve snacks/meals, and other easy-prep meals. You may leave these items in the Donation Center in the “Backpack Ministry” slot. Alternatively, you can have these items shipped from any big box store to the church:

  • Prime Time – Vol. 62, No. 2

    On Monday, February 14, we will head to Meramec Caverns at 10:00 a.m. We will have lunch and then tour the cave for about an hour and a half, and then head home. This is a great way to spend your Valentine’s Day. The tour cost is $24 plus lunch. PLEASE NOTE – THIS IS A DATE CHANGE FROM OUR ORIGINAL CALENDAR. The cave has reduced hours until February 14 and will not be open on our original date of February 11.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

    I hope you all are keeping up in our reading of Joshua. I don’t know about you, but I am seeing some things I never saw before. So, keep on reading and be strong and courageous!
