    As a renowned minister and gospel singer, Charles Graham traveled around the world before returning to his roots.  As a child, Charles lived in Dermott, Arkansas where he and his family worked in the cotton fields.  Charles grew up, left for college and lived away for 34 years.  He worked and traveled around giving concerts in

    Europe, Africa and the Americas,  only returning to Arkansas for visits.  He thought he would never live in Arkansas again, but he knew he wanted to make one final move.  As God was leading he made plans to move back to Arkansas and purchased the property where his family had worked when he was a child.  He had always dreamed of seeing inside the house he now owns.  The home and grounds is known as “The Fountains” and it exists as a retreat center for ministers.

    Don’t miss the opportunity to hear the rich baritone voice of Charles Graham in

    concert at 6:00 p.m. on August 3.  The concert will be held at Fee Fee Baptist Church in the worship center.  There is no charge for this concert, but you will have an opportunity to contribute to the ministry.

  • Bible Study Corner, Vol. 65, No. 8, August 2025

    • Bible Study has a place for everyone Sunday morning at 9:15-10:15 a.m.  Come join a group and study together.  Ask Gloria for suggestions of a class for you.
    • Fall Bible studies will resume in September.
    • All adults are invited to attend Adult VBS from 8/18-8/21 from 9:30 a.m. until noon.  This study will be led by Gloria Fox and we will be looking in the Old Testament for the Gospel according to Moses.  Hope you can join me!

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 8, August 2025

    As most of you know, I will no longer be the serving as the Senior Adult Director after the middle of August.  You will be in the capable hands of my friend and co-worker, Kathy Scott.  She will not only provide you with fun activities and service projects but will also provide a care ministry.  This is a very good thing for the seniors and something I was unable to do a good job of providing because of my other job responsibilities.  It has been a pleasure serving you and serving with you over these past years.

    Activities in August kick off with an inhouse activity Wednesday, August 6.  We will have lunch, including watermelon, at 11 followed by games.  Bring your favorite game and join in a game that you have never played before.  The cost of lunch and watermelon is $7.

    From Monday, August 18-August 21, we will have our annual Adult VBS from 9:30-noon.  Plan to attend and bring some friends.  While I generally don’t have a topic this early, I do this year.  We are going to be looking at the Gospel according to Moses.  This will be a study of places, events, and people in the Old Testament who show us that God had always planned to send us a savior and you can see that plan start to unfold in the Old Testament.  Let’s explore the gospel through a new perspective.

     

  • A Word From Senior Pastor, Britton Carter, Vol. 65, No. 8, August 2025

    God Is Moving

    As I’m writing these words, over eighty kids are walking the halls of our church building, moving from one station to the next, where they are learning gospel truths. Yesterday, a child placed his faith in Jesus for the first time. Who knows what today will hold. But one thought keeps repeating in my head: God is moving in this church.

    • We have had to fill our baptistry regularly on Sundays. God is moving in this church.
    • Two of our highest-attended Sunday mornings this year have occurred in July—a month that is typically known for lower attendance. God is moving in this church.
    • One staff member decides to retire from full-time ministry, and God simultaneously raises up a member of our own church to take her place. God is moving in this church.
    • Our church was able to extend hospitality to a mission team, which did an excellent job connecting people to the gospel in the Kirkwood area. God is moving in this church.

    I could share countless stories of ways God is moving in and through Fee Fee Baptist Church, but I’ll save some space in the Forerunner for the rest of the staff.

    What’s exciting about all of these examples is they represent God working through ordinary means. These examples don’t amount to a supernatural revival; instead, they are the results of God working through the things he promises to work through—prayer-powered action, the preaching of the Word, sharing the gospel with the lost. The results feel like antecedents to revival—and I hope, pray, and genuinely believe they are—but these are just the normal results of the Almighty God working through a church that submits our time, energy, resources, preferences, and, ultimately, our wills to him. In other words, these are the results of a church that’s enlivened and empowered by the Spirit of God.

    I’m praying for more. As we continue to submit to God’s will, I’m praying we’ll see even greater works from him in and through our church. As we grow more passionate about connecting people to the unifying and life-transforming power of the gospel, I’m praying God will send revival here.

    Thank you, Lord, for all you are doing at Fee Fee Baptist Church.

     

  • Bible Study Corner, Vol. 65, No. 7, July 2025

    Bible Study

    Our Sunday morning Bible study groups continue to meet all summer.  Hope you will join us as we share together in the study of God’s love letter to us.  There are classes for all ages.  You can ask a First Impressions person or ask Gloria for a suggestion of where to attend.

    You can also pick up your third quarter bookmark for the chronological study of the New Testament.  This quarter will begin on July 1 in 1 Thessalonians 4.

     

  • Family Front, Vol. 65, No. 7, July 2025

    Pray for our 11 kids and 1 adult going to Encounter Kids’ Camp, July 9-12 at Lake of the Ozarks (formerly known as Windermere). Pray that they will worship God there and have a safe and great time!

    True North VBS and Game On! Sports camp is July 14-18. Please be praying for the children coming to hear more about Jesus in new a fresh way; pray for our volunteers who work so faithfully and lovingly to see that kids hear how they can trust Jesus in this wild world; pray for our church that we will welcome children and families in a way that they will want to return.

    We are always in need of people to care for our little ones. It’s a behind-the scenes-service opportunity but very important and needed. I hope this poem stirs your heart as it did mine to serve.

    My Turn in the Nursery:

    Last Sunday was my turn in the nursery to work.

    My heart wasn’t in it, and my feelings were hurt.

    A child from it’s mother did not want to part.

    And cried a lot with it’s broken heart.

    I prayed that soon the hour would end,

    That I could relax, have lunch and be free.

    I said once a month was too much for me!

    That very next Sunday, as I sat in the pew,

    A very good sermon but visitors were few

    But down came a woman and her soul was saved;

    And she was the mother of the crying babe.

    Then it dawned on me that I had been a part

    Of one being saved, giving God her heart.

    From that day on I would never dread

    Working in the nursery while souls were being fed.

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 7, July 2025

    We are hitting 90 degrees for the first time this summer today.  I’m not a big fan of heat so we are going to do a couple of in-house activities this summer.  The first one is Wednesday, July 9 .  Join us for lunch at 11:00.  We will be having a potato bar and dessert.  Yum!  When we finish lunch, we will watch the Sight and Sound production of David.  Sounds like a great day to me.

    Then on Monday, July 23rd, we will journey to Fitz’s root beer for a tour followed by lunch there. The bus will leave church at 10 am.

    Also, we now have a date locked in with St. Andrew’s for our quarterly service project.  On September 24 at 10 a.m., we will go across the street to paint nails for the residents.  We are going to need lots of colors for them to choose from so pick up some inexpensive bottles of polish next time you are in that area of a store,

     

  • Fee Fee Youth, Vol. 65, No. 7, July 2025

    Hey Church Family!

    This month the youth is going on our MFUGE mission trip July 7th through the 11th .  We are so excited for this amazing time of worship, service, and fellowship. I ask that you pray for our students as we go on this trip. Pray for safe travels, growth in the Lord, and the building of relationships. Also pray for people to come to know the Lord, that hearts are softened and the gospel is received. After all, we exist to connect people to unifying and life changing power of the gospel!

    Fee Fee Offers Bus Rides

    If you or someone you know would like to come to church on Sunday  at Fee Fee and live in the Bridgeton or St. Ann area, you can get on our bus rider list. Just call the church office a few days in advance to sign up for a ride. If you are a new bus rider, our transportation coordinator will contact you to schedule a pick up time for you on our regularly scheduled bus route.

    International Food Pantry

    Thank you to those who so faithfully support our ministry to the International Food Pantry.  Did you know that you can also give a monetary gift to this ministry?  Indicate on an envelope with either cash or check that this is for the International Food Pantry.  This allows the team to be able to buy fresh fruit, produce, milk, eggs and meat to give out that day.  Thanks in advance for caring for others.

    Remaining Summer concerts

    July 6 – The Lesters

    Here is some information about the Lesters gospel singers that you may not know.

    The founding members of The Lesters were Harvey and Opal.  They met at an old fashioned singing school.  Shortly after they were married they moved to St. Louis where they began their gospel music ministry.  They presented their music in churches, on street corners, tent revivals and local missions venues.

    July 20 – Fee Fee Folk(s)

    The July concert will feature a sampling of Fee Fee members who are involved in our music program.

    August 6 – Charles Graham

    August 6 will bring the rich baritone voice of Charles Graham to our summer

    concerts.

    Charles made his Fee Fee debut as a college student from what was then known  as Southwest Baptist College.  He was part of a student led revival team and was

    warmly received by our church.
