  • A Word From Senior Pastor, Britton Carter, Vol. 65, No. 9, September 2025

    Modeling the Kingdom

               I would have loved to witness the ministry of Jesus in person. Crowds of blind, crippled, and seriously ill people pressing around him, experiencing profound life transformation as he opens their eyes and heals their diseases. Demonized (I like this term better than “demon-possessed”) men, women, and children experience freedom as their tormentors flee from the power of the King. The hungry receive food. The reviled feel love. The downtrodden find hope. What a joy it would be to experience that ministry firsthand!

    And the good news is—we will! When Christ returns and we enter into the fullness of the kingdom of God, we will see the redemptive power of Jesus restore everything that’s broken. Injuries and illnesses? Gone. Demonization and spiritual warfare? A relic of the past. Hunger, loneliness, and hopelessness? Solved. As we look forward to that day, we can’t help but say with thousands of Christians before us, “Come, Lord Jesus!”

    But in the meantime, we can also see glimpses of this coming kingdom through the church. We are people who have already been redeemed—people who have already become part of God’s kingdom. We know the forgiveness, hope, peace, joy, and love that he offers. And when we gather as a group of redeemed people, the result should be a church that looks a lot like the kingdom of God.

    Then, after we gather together, we scatter to various parts of the community to model the kingdom there. We showcase the lack of poverty in the kingdom by meeting other people’s needs. We display the love of the kingdom by becoming genuinely invested in the lives of the people around us. With our words and behaviors, we paint a picture of the coming kingdom of God to the people we interact with every week. And then, when we present the gospel, we invite those around us to join that coming kingdom.

    While we have the opportunity to model the kingdom of God to our community every day, we are setting aside extra time, energy, and resources to model the kingdom to our community on Saturday, September 13th. Will you join us as we take time to serve our community? Whatever your age and abilities, we will find opportunities for you to model the kingdom to people in our community. We hope to see you there!

    Better Together: The beauty of multigenerational ministry

     In a world that often segments people by age, the church has a beautiful opportunity: to bridge the gap between generations. Multi-generational ministry isn’t just a nice idea; it’s a biblical model and a rich blessing. For our adult and senior adult members, your involvement with young adults is not only valuable, it’s transformative.

    When generations come together, wisdom is shared, faith is passed on, and relationships flourish. Younger believers gain mentors who have walked the road of faith before them, while older generations find renewed purpose and joy in guiding and encouraging the next wave of the church.

    Let’s embrace the richness of multi-generational connections. Your stories, your faith, and your friendship can help shape a vibrant, faithful future. After all, we’re all part of God’s family—learning and growing better together.

     

  • Bible Study Corner, Vol. 65, No. 9, September 2025

    All Wednesday night Bible studies will resume on 9/10 at 6 pm.  We have something for everyone.

    Children will have Awanas and Mission groups.

    Youth will be involved in small groups

    The Young Adult Collective will have Bible Study

    Pastor Britton will lead a Bible study for adults

    Women will be studying A Jesus Shaped Life with Lisa Harper

  • Prime Time, Vol. 65, No. 9, September 2025

    I am very excited to begin my new position as Director of Senior Adults and Care Ministries. I met in August with the Senior Adult Council to plan for October, November, December events. If you haven’t participated in any event with this group, it’s time for you to check this out; and, of course, bring a friend. We always want to be in the business of inviting friends to be part of this great fellowship at Fee Fee Baptist Church!

    Here is what is coming up for October, November, and December 2025:

    October 6 – Omnimax theater and lunch (movie TBD)

    October 22 –  Drive through Lone Elk Park and lunch

    November 12 – Pere Marquette Lodge/lunch

    December- see the lights and a ministry project (TBD)

    Watch for more details on all of these events on signup sheets in the cafe.

    We have also thrown out lots of ideas of things to do in the new year so come on and join us!

    I also plan to visit with our homebound members. If you have heard of one of our members in need of a visit, please contact me.

  • Family Front, Vol. 65, No. 9, September 2025

    Hello Church,

    I am so grateful for such a warm welcome into my new role here as the Fee Fee Kids Director. Everyone has had the kindest words of encouragement and I am so thankful for that. I’m still learning the role, but in the meantime, our amazing children’s team volunteers have really stepped up to fill in the gaps for our Sunday School classes and Kids Zone. My goal is to build a robust team of strong Christian leaders who can support each another and lift up our church families by bringing the gospel to the next generation. We don’t want to exhaust our current volunteers, so we’re looking for more people to join our team. You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity to serve with us!

    Speaking of serving with us, we have Wednesday night programming starting back up! Everything will spring back into action on September 10th. Birth-2nd Grade will be doing AWANA, and Grades 3-5 will be doing Royal Ambassadors  & Girls in Action. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you feel called to join us!

    I would love to share a little bit of my background to help you get to know me better. I grew up in a family with five siblings, four of whom were adopted into our family when I was nine. I was originally born in St. Louis, but my parents wanted to explore the US, so growing up we lived in Missouri, Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama, and Indiana. I returned to St. Louis for college at Maryville University where I graduated with my doctorate of physical therapy and met my husband Adam. I’ve been practicing physical therapy for the past 11 years as a pediatric physical therapist in area homes and schools and am board certified as a pediatric clinical specialist. I also have experience operating a local non-profit organization for children with disabilities. Adam and I moved to Maryland Heights in 2017 and welcomed our two daughters, Kylie & Joanna. We started church hunting after we moved back to the area and joined Fee Fee in 2019. As a family, we love spending time together and being active, so you’ll frequently find us exploring outdoors, bicycling, or training on the jiu-jitsu mats.

    I’m looking forward to working with you all!

    Impact Day

     We have done impact week for the past 6 years with individuals and groups doing various service activities every night of the week  but this year, we decided to just narrow our focus to one day – Saturday, 9/13. 

    There will be a sign-up sheet for those who want to be available to help.  You will not be signing up for a specific job but will just make yourself available to serve.  On campus, we will be having a free car wash for our community.  We will also top off windshield wiper fluids, check air pressure and air up tires.  This will take lots and lots of volunteers.  Your entire family can help with this.

    While cars are being washed, we will be serving hot dogs, popcorn, and cold water.  We will need quite a few to prepare and hand out food.  Other crews will be taking cookies to fireman and police stations, cleaning up yard waste and various other projects.

    I hope you will sign up to participate.  Let’s IMPACT our community the love of Jesus.

    All Church Picnic

     On the following day, Sunday 9/14, we will celebrate our IMPACT by having a picnic in the park.  Shuttles will run from the church to Vago park.  We will start with a worship service, eat lunch, experience visits from Fredbird and Louie and many other fun activities including water balloon challenges, a balloon artist, sack races, hula hoop and pie eating contests and much more.  The day will end with free Kona Ice.

    This day replaces our annual trip to Redemption Ranch and all you have to do is bring a side or dessert and show up!  Bring friends who don’t go to church for this day of fun.

    Divorce Care

     DivorceCare’s life-changing support groups welcome people and guide them on the path of recovery after separation or divorce. Over 1 million people have found comfort and hope through this 13-week, video-based series.  Fee Fee is offering this free program Tuesday nights at 6:30 now through November 11. All course materials are provided. Visit https://www.divorcecare.org/findagroup to register.

    Rooted Together in a Disconnected World

    A word from our intern                                 Evan Ferguson, Summer Intern

     Hi everyone! I’ve had the joy of serving as a summer intern here at Fee Fee Baptist Church. I’m originally from Texas and currently pursuing a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree at Texas Baptist College in Fort Worth. This summer, I’ve been involved in youth ministry, worship, young adults, and general pastoral work—pretty much wherever I can serve and learn! It’s been an awesome experience getting to know the church family and grow in ministry. Thanks for making me feel so welcomed!

    Community Outreach

     Don’t forget to sign up for the Free Market from 9:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 2.  Bring your items to give away for free.  We will provide you with a table to display your items. This event allows us to interact with our community while helping them with some needed clothing, furniture, kitchen supplies, and other items.  We will also have some backpacks loaded with school supplies as kids get ready to go back to school.  The sign up sheet is in the coffee café.

    Lost & Found

    Are you missing your reading glasses? Or perhaps you have misplaced your jacket or sweater? Pop into the Lost & Found across from the church office to see if your missing items have been waiting for you to reclaim them.

    Fee Fee Offers Bus Rides

    If you or someone you know would like to come to church on Sunday  at Fee Fee and live in the Bridgeton or St. Ann area, you can get on our bus rider list. Just call the church office a few days in advance to sign up for a ride. If you are a new bus rider, our transportation coordinator will contact you to schedule a pick up time for you on our regularly scheduled bus route.

    International Food Pantry

     Thank you to those who so faithfully support our ministry to the International Food Pantry.  Did you know that you can also give a monetary gift to this ministry?  Indicate on an envelope with either cash or check that this is for the International Food Pantry.  This allows the team to be able to buy fresh fruit, produce, milk, eggs and meat to give out that day.  Thanks in advance for caring for others.

    Tech Help Needed!

    We’re looking for volunteers to serve in the technical side of worship for Sunday service! There are several ways to get involved—whether it’s helping with livestreaming, running a camera, or operating the media computer to

    display lyrics and slides. No technical experience is needed, and we’ll provide all the training you need to feel confident and comfortable. If you’re interested or just want to learn more, feel free to reach out to Chris in person or by email.

     

     

  • Fee Fee Youth, Vol. 65, No. 8, August 2025

    Hey Church Family!

    Last month the youth went on a mission trip to Nashville, Tennessee! We shared the gospel with lots of people and were able to bless them with service projects. Students served at kids camps, sharing the gospel in parks, and doing yard work for needy people. It was a blessing getting to serve alongside them.

    Thank you, Church, for your generous support and faithful service during VBS and Sports camp in July!   WOW! You prayed, you provided materials, you volunteered, you gave your time and energy to see that kids heard the gospel in a new way and maybe for the first time. Thank you! I hear from parents that they had heard so much about our week that their kids wanted to come! That is a great compliment of your efforts! I praise God that He works through us!

    I also want to say of word of thanks for the almost 17 years you have allowed me to serve as the Director of Children and Family Ministries. You have ministered to me and my family in these years. It has been a wonderful experience. I value the friendships I’ve made and look forward to more years together in a different kind of service. Thank you for your trust in me. I know you will give Liz the same kind of support and love as she steps in to continue the kids’ ministry. I’m looking forward to serving with her.

    God is so good! Let’s continue to serve together as we continue to share the gospel with our community.
