Hello Church! My name is Ty Meacham, and I am now the College Outreach Minster, and I will be continuing to serve as the Ministry Intern. First, I would like to say that I am thankful to serve this wonderful church along with the rest of the staff. Secondly, I would like to introduce myself if we have not yet had the chance to meet each other. I was raised in western Kentucky, where I made a profession of faith at the age of 7. During my teenage years, I was not living for the Lord. However, when I was 16 I rededicated my life to the Lord, and truly started living out my faith.
It was during my first mission trip to Honduras the summer of 2018 I realized the call to ministry. During the trip I had the opportunity to share my testimony and share the Gospel to children. Brother Mike, my mission pastor back home, sat me down on the last night of the trip saying He saw a calling on me for ministry. I was accepted to Missouri Baptist University receiving a football scholarship and majoring in Biology with plans to become a Wildlife Biologist. But during my first semester, the Lord spoke to me that I was doing what I wanted to do, not what He wanted me to do. The next day I went to change my major to Christian Ministry, because I felt the call from the Lord. I am currently a Junior at Missouri Baptist, and I am hoping to graduate in the spring of 2024.
I would like to ask for your prayers for the College Ministry as I start serving in this new role. If I have not yet gotten to meet you, please come and say “Hi” to me. I would love to get to know each one of you better!
