Backpack Ministry

Pattonville schools are in session.  We are currently providing about 30 food bags a week for children in need. Please place food in the donation bin or you can make a financial donation. The following food items are recommended:  mac & cheese cups, mashed potato cups, canned pasta, applesauce cups, fruit cups, granola bars, snack crackers, mini muffins. See Phyllis Hackney for details.

Operation Christmas Child

A reminder that Operation Christmas Child boxes will be available to pick up and fill on October 14th.  They will be due back November 9th.  More information will be provided soon.

Library

The church library is now permanently open for your convenience. The library is self-serve and no formal checkout is required for most items.  The library offers books, puzzles, and videos. Ten highly recommended books are available on the main table and a simple paper checkout for these books is requested.

Coffee With a Cause

During 2025 our Coffee With a Cause will go toward our Member Led Ministry, equipping members to connect others to the power of the gospel, and use their gifts for ministries that do the same.

 

Impact Day

 We have done impact week for the past 6 years with individuals and groups doing various service activities every night of the week  but this year, we decided to just narrow our focus to one day – Saturday, 9/13. 

There will be a sign-up sheet for those who want to be available to help.  You will not be signing up for a specific job but will just make yourself available to serve.  On campus, we will be having a free car wash for our community.  We will also top off windshield wiper fluids, check air pressure and air up tires.  This will take lots and lots of volunteers.  Your entire family can help with this.

While cars are being washed, we will be serving hot dogs, popcorn, and cold water.  We will need quite a few to prepare and hand out food.  Other crews will be taking cookies to fireman and police stations, cleaning up yard waste and various other projects.

I hope you will sign up to participate.  Let’s IMPACT our community the love of Jesus.

All Church Picnic

 On the following day, Sunday 9/14, we will celebrate our IMPACT by having a picnic in the park.  Shuttles will run from the church to Vago park.  We will start with a worship service, eat lunch, experience visits from Fredbird and Louie and many other fun activities including water balloon challenges, a balloon artist, sack races, hula hoop and pie eating contests and much more.  The day will end with free Kona Ice.

This day replaces our annual trip to Redemption Ranch and all you have to do is bring a side or dessert and show up!  Bring friends who don’t go to church for this day of fun.

Divorce Care

 DivorceCare’s life-changing support groups welcome people and guide them on the path of recovery after separation or divorce. Over 1 million people have found comfort and hope through this 13-week, video-based series.  Fee Fee is offering this free program Tuesday nights at 6:30 now through November 11.  Hi everyone! I’ve had the joy of serving as a summer intern here at Fee Fee Baptist Church. I’m originally from Texas and currently pursuing a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree at Texas Baptist College in Fort Worth. This summer, I’ve been involved in youth ministry, worship, young adults, and general pastoral work—pretty much wherever I can serve and learn! It’s been an awesome experience getting to know the church family and grow in ministry. Thanks for making me feel so welcomed!

Community Outreach

 Don’t forget to sign up for the Free Market from 9:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 2.  Bring your items to give away for free.  We will provide you with a table to display your items. This event allows us to interact with our community while helping them with some needed clothing, furniture, kitchen supplies, and other items.  We will also have some backpacks loaded with school supplies as kids get ready to go back to school.  The sign up sheet is in the coffee café.

Tech Help Needed!

We’re looking for volunteers to serve in the technical side of worship for Sunday service! There are several ways to get involved—whether it’s helping with livestreaming, running a camera, or operating the media computer to

display lyrics and slides. No technical experience is needed, and we’ll provide all the training you need to feel confident and comfortable. If you’re interested or just want to learn more, feel free to reach out to Chris in person or by email.

Fee Fee Weekly Athletic Activities

 

Fee Fee offers a number of ways you can stay active throughout the week.

• Pickleball Mondays at 6 p.m. and Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
• Basketball Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m.
• Volleyball Sundays at 6:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to participate and bringing guests is encouraged.

Meet Chris Otterson, Young Adult and Worship Pastor

Hello Fee Fee Family!

I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new Pastor of Young Adults and Worship here at Fee Fee Baptist Church! My name is Chris Otterson, and it’s truly an honor to be part of this incredible church family.

In this role, I’m thrilled to walk alongside our young adults as we grow in faith, wrestle with big questions, build authentic community, and learn what it means to follow Jesus in our everyday lives. I’m also deeply grateful for the opportunity to help lead our church in worship—creating space for us to draw near to God and experience His grace in powerful and life-changing ways.

A little about me: I’ve been leading worship since high school, and over the past 15 years I’ve served in both worship and youth ministry roles. I hold a degree in Modern Music Ministry from Visible Music College, and I’m passionate about helping people discover how their unique gifts and stories are part of God’s greater story. I love good food, deep conversations, and just about anything involving music or creativity. I believe the church should feel like family—a place where people are known, loved, and encouraged to grow.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome I’ve already received. I’m truly looking forward to getting to know each of you more in the weeks and months ahead. If we haven’t met yet, I’d love for you to come say hello!

All Church Work Day – April 5th

Join us on Saturday, April 5th, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM for our All Church Work Day! We will be tackling both indoor and outdoor projects around the church to help keep our space clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone.

This is a wonderful opportunity for families to serve together! Whether you’re handy with a hammer or prefer less physical tasks, there will be jobs for all abilities.

Come lend a hand and be a part of making our church home even better. We look forward to working alongside you in fellowship and service!

JESUS IS ALIVE!

We are celebrating Christ’s resurrection through fellowship  and worship with an Easter breakfast on April 20 at 9:15 in the gym.

We need you to sign up if you think you will be attending the breakfast so we know how many to prepare for. So be sure to invite friends and neighbors that may not have a place to worship.

There will be no 9:15 Bible study that day. Celebration worship will be at 10:30 with childcare provided for preschoolers as well as KidsZone for elementary aged children.

Hope to see you here as we celebrate the risen Lord!

Annie Armstrong Update

 Our Annie Armstrong Easter Offering total collected to date is $11,791.25. Our church goal is $18,000.00. Fee Fee will continue collecting for Annie Armstrong throughout the month of April. We are nearly two-thirds of the way there. C’mon church, we can do this!

 

International Food Pantry

Fee Fee Is Hiring

We are currently looking for someone to join our maintenance team on a

part-time basis. Candidates should be proficient in general cleaning duties.

Familiarity with minor electrical, plumbing and general handyman repairs is preferred. Applications are available in the church office during regular business hours.

Loaves and Fishes

We feed the residents at Loaves and Fishes (a local homeless shelter for families) every 3rd Tuesday of each month.  There are 29 residents and about half of them are children.  Do you belong to a group in this church who would be willing to provide a meal in the upcoming months?  Your group can buy a meal like pizza or have individuals provide a part of the meal like, spaghetti, salad, bread and desert.  Then it needs to be delivered between 4:30 and 4:45. There is a sign-up in the connection center if you can help or you can just let Gloria know. Thanks in advance for your help.

Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy

 Fee Fee Baptist Church will cancel services, Bible studies and activities when it is deemed necessary for the safety of church members driving to and from church as well as walking and moving around the church properties itself. The church no longer mirrors Pattonville School District’s cancellation policy as they have changed their procedures in calling for cancellations and Virtual Learning Days.

We will take many criteria into formulating a decision on cancellations.

On days Fee Fee is not cancelled, but inclement weather is happening, it is the sole discretion of the bus drivers if they feel comfortable picking up church goers. All cancellations will be conveyed through TV stations Channels 2, 4, and 5. It will be posted on our website, social media and notifications will be sent out through our church app.

The Great Chili Cook-Off

The chili cook-off is Sunday night, February 16th from 5-7pm.  I hope you  are refining your recipe. Bring your best crock pot of chili and designate its category as mild, medium, hot, or white chicken chili.  Each category will be judged and prizes will be awarded.

If you aren’t bringing a pot of chili, please bring any of the following: crackers, cheese, Fritos, or anything else you enjoy with chili.

Invite your friends and neighbors to come for food and fun. The play area will be open and games will be set up in the gym as well as board games.

A sign up sheet is in the connection center.  Good luck!  We have people who take this contest very seriously.

Loaves and Fishes Meal

Any group in the church can provide a meal at Loaves and Fishes on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. All you have to do is deliver food for about 29 people, half of which are children. Tacos, spaghetti, hearty soups, sandwiches, pizza, chicken dinners – anything that most people would eat is appropriate.  Sign-up your group in the connection center.

 Hi, my name is Yumeng Jin, but you can call me Yumi! I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Master’s in Marketing Analytics and Boston University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Originally from China, I’m excited to bring my skills to Fee Fee Baptist Church. I manage the church website, create content for our social media platforms, and help keep our YouTube channel running smoothly. If you ever need help with anything tech-related—like figuring out social media or if your phone isn’t working—feel free to come to me! I love being part of the Fee Fee family and look forward to meeting more of you!

Beginning in January we will no longer be taking Bible Study attendance using the old binders. All attendance will be taken electronically using the new Fee Fee Church Center app.
