  • Fee Fee Youth, Vol. 66, No. 2, February 2026

    First off, the youth want to thank our church family once again for your faithful giving that made our Youth Fun Day possible.  We had so many students attend that we couldn’t all fit on board the church buses!  What an awesome “problem” to encounter!  It was great to hear the laughter and see all the connections forming as the youth tackled the obstacle courses, battled it out in laser tag, and even just chatted on the drives to and from our destinations.  God is clearly working to grow our community of believers up in the Rafters, and we ask for continued prayers for our youth, youth leaders, and our future NextGen Pastor.

    Looking ahead to February, the youth on Sunday mornings will be continuing our study of the life of David.  Then, on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm, we will be wrapping up our Galatians Bible study.  We invite all middle- and highschoolers to join us for these Bible study sessions, and of course, we encourage you to bring your friends.

    Kicking off our events for February is our Super Bowl Potluck Party!  We’d like to invite all the youth AND their families to join us up in the Rafters on February 8 at 5 pm for the Big Game (or just to hang) and ask that you bring along a snack, appetizer, or dessert to share.  We’ll handle the drinks.

    Later in February, our crew will be heading to the Creve Coeur Ice Rink to try our hand at ice skating.  (2030 Winter Olympics here we come!  LOL!)  Please be on the lookout for more details about this event up in the Rafters.

     

  • Family Front, Vol. 66, No. 2, February 2026

    We are settling into our January changes as February rolls in. At the same time, we are beginning to gear up for this year’s events.  Mark your calendars for February 22nd for Chili, mac n cheese, and games night & March 6th for our Family Nerf Night. And I know this seems a bit wild, but please also mark your calendars for this year’s VBS July 13-17th. July feels so far away, but it will be here before we know it! I hear that we love to go big for our VBS at Fee Fee so am excited to see what that means from this new vantage point as kids’ director.

    To bring everyone up to speed, our kids’ programs saw a 60% increase in 2025, absolutely incredible. On any given Sunday morning we have around 40-50 kids participating in kids’ programming (infants-5th grade) and as many as 15-20 additional if you include the youth (6th-12th grade). Those are pretty significant numbers that are likely to continue growing as our community changes and we welcome in more young families. These numbers represent young lives that are hungry for the gospel. We have some amazing volunteers serving these kids and their families but as the number of kids increases, we will also need the number of volunteers to increase. I can assure you that there is a spot for everyone to serve: whether it be as a teacher on Sunday morning or Wednesday night, an event chaperone, a snack distributor, a one on one relationship builder, a willing substitute, an event planner, or even serving as the lead for a new kids’ ministry opportunity (like our kids’ choir!) Come join kids’ ministry and avoid giving the devil a foothold as Proverbs 16:27 warns “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece.” I can assure you that there is nothing idle about serving with kids!

    We are looking for diaper donations: size 1, 2, 3, 4, pull up donations size 3T/4T and 5T/6T, and new, unopened underwear donations sizes 3T, 4T, 5T. If you have the ability to bring these to the kids’ area in the back, we would so appreciate it!

    To close, please pray for our Fee Fee Kids’ programs, volunteers, and kids. We want God to lead us in this new year and going forward. Pray that we follow Him and His plans rather than trusting in our own abilities and plans.

    This month I have developed a listening list that I hope you will enjoy.

     

    I am always fascinated by old hymns that are performed  in varied genres. Hymns included in this listening list represent gospel, bluegrass, jazz, a cappella, choral Celtic as well as heavy metal. They won’t all be your “cup of tea,” but should be interesting to hear. Hope you enjoy!

  • Bible Study & Outreach, Vol. 66, No. 2, February 2026

    Bible Study                                   

    I hope you are joining me in the 2026 Bible Reading program as we read passages that show how promises and prophecies about redemptive history in the Old Testament are fulfilled in the New Testament. You can catch up if you start now. Talk to your friends about what God is showing you as you study scripture.

    I hope you have made the commitment to be engaged in Bible study this year. We have small groups that meet on Sunday morning at 9:15, groups for everyone on Wednesday nights at 6:00 and a few small groups that meet during the day on different days of the week. Gloria can help you with any questions. Make today the day you commit to begin to be grounded in God’s word.

    Outreach

    Have you started refining your spices for your chili? Are you trying different cheeses in your Mac ‘n’ cheese? Have you started talking smack to last years challengers? Our next big event is the great chili cook-off. . Who will be this year’s goats? Categories are hot, medium, mild chili and non-traditional.

    Start refining your recipe because we will meet in the gym at 5:30 pm on Sunday night, February 22, for some serious judging and eating .

    Bring your kids and grandkids and invite your friends and neighbors. The playroom will be open and an assortment of fun board games will be available.

    Mark your calendars now and get ready to show your skills!.

     

  • Prime Time, Vol. 66, No. 2, February 2026

    February will be project month for our church sponsored by our senior adults. I hope you will come join us for these two ministry opportunities in our community.

    The month of February we will be collecting items for our neighbor, the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. This is a WHITE OUT SHOWER. Bring white items to support the work of MBCH. Here is the list: paper towels, dinner napkins, facial tissue, toilet tissue, cotton balls, Q-tips, kitchen linens/bath linens, sheets and pillowcases (twin size), and laundry detergent. Please bring items to the church collection area by

    Feb. 22. The senior adults will deliver them that week. Thank you for your generous giving.

    Feb. 12 we will make valentines for a local senior living place starting at 10am. Come and help us minister to those like us! We will provide the craft supplies to make the valentines. Then we will eat lunch together. Please sign up in the café so we know how much lunch to provide. There is no cost for this lunch.

    Watch for info for a couple of upcoming events in March (trips include lunch stop): Route 66 on March 9; trip to Perryville (Missouri National Veterans Memorial)

    March 30. Other potential outings include: Katy Trail trolley tour and Warm Springs Ranch (Clydesdales) in Boonville. In September, we are planning a five day trip to Gatlinburg TN for Jubilee Celebration.

    If you haven’t participated in any event with this group, it’s time for you to check it out; and, of course, bring a friend. We always want to be in the business of inviting friends to be part of this great fellowship at Fee Fee Baptist Church! If cost is the only reason you don’t attend, please see me.

  • A Word From Senior Pastor, Britton Carter, Vol. 66, No. 2, February 2026

    What Stays the Same

    This has been a busy month for our church. From voting on a NextGen Pastor candidate to a business meeting in which we covered a lot of ground, many things are happening at Fee Fee. And to top it all off, we have launched an initiative to invite 10,000 unchurched people to join us at one of our gatherings this year. As the Holy Spirit moves through us in our gospel conversations, more things are likely to change at this church. We’ll see more people in our gatherings. We’ll expand our Sunday school and small groups. We’ll have logistical issues to figure out. And while change is not inherently good or bad, at times it can feel overwhelming.

    In exciting but change-filled times like these, we need to hold on to two truths as a church: our God never changes, and neither does our mission.

    God repeated the idea that he never changes multiple times in Scripture to several different audiences. Through the prophet Malachi, God reminded the Israelites that he doesn’t change (Malachi 3:6). In Psalm 102:27, we see that God is constant and that his years have no end. In Hebrews 13:8, we learn that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If you’re somebody who doesn’t like change, then I have good news for you: we serve an unchanging God.

    Additionally, while our church looks very different today than it did in 1807, we have an unchanging mission. We have always existed as a church to connect people to the unifying and life-transforming power of the gospel. We may not have used those words, but for over two hundred years, we have been a gospel witness to the Bridgeton area and beyond. It’s never been about the programs or the “way we do things”; God placed us and has sustained us for centuries so that people in our community and around the world can learn of the salvation available to them through Jesus Christ.

    While change can cause us to feel disoriented and uneasy, we can stand firm on the unchanging nature of God and our unchanging mission as a body of believers. Moreover, our unchanging God has done some amazing things over the past two hundred years through our church, and I cannot wait to see what he does through us in the coming months and years as we continue our unchanging mission to connect people to the gospel.

    Coffee With a Cause

    Our Coffee With a Cause will go toward our Member Led Ministry, equipping members to connect others to the power of the gospel, and use their gifts for ministries that do the same.

    Alaska Mission Trip

     

    This Spring members of Fee Fee will be going to work with Reach 907 in Wasilla, Alaska. We will be doing a VBS for kids who have been through trauma.  The group will leave Friday, May 29 and return the morning of Saturday, June 6 on an overnight flight.  For more details and to fill out an application, please see Gloria.

     

     

  • Y.A. Collective, Vol. 66, No. 1, January 2026

    As we approach the turn of a new year, many of us naturally pause to reflect. We look back on the months behind us—what went well, what didn’t—and we begin to think about the kind of people we want to be in the year ahead. For Christians, that reflection often turns spiritual. We make goals to pray more, read scripture more consistently, or be more disciplined in our faith. Those desires are good, but they can quietly drift into something less life-giving: a checklist Christianity that measures growth by activity rather than connection.

     

    In John 15, Jesus offers us a better way. He doesn’t begin with commands or spiritual techniques. He begins with an image: “I am the true vine, and you are the branches.” Growth, fruitfulness, and endurance don’t come from trying harder; they come from staying connected. A branch doesn’t produce fruit by striving—it produces fruit by abiding.

     

    As we step into a new year, the question before us isn’t simply, What spiritual habits will I add? but Who am I remaining connected to? True spiritual growth flows from an ongoing, dependent relationship with Christ. When we abide in Him, fruit follows—not as something we force, but as something He produces in us.

    As we step into the new year, let’s explore what it means to abide in the true vine and why that connection is the foundation for lasting, gospel-shaped growth.

     

  • Fee Fee Youth, Vol. 66, No. 1, January 2026

    Happy New Year!  At the time of this writing, the youth of Fee Fee are preparing to send 2025 off with a bang, a Youth Fun Day on Monday, Dec. 29th!  We’ll be meeting at church at 9:30 am before heading to Amp Up Action Park for some laser tag and go-karts.  Afterwards, we’ll enjoy lunch at Chick-fil-A and then spend the rest of the afternoon at Sky Zone, before returning to church at 5:00 pm.  Thanks to the faithful giving and support of our church family, this event is free to all youth!  We are so grateful for this opportunity to have fun and grow closer together.  Middle- and highschoolers, we hope you all can join us!  Please see Scott Knepper or Kristin Simpson for more information.

     

    As we step into this new year, please keep our youth and youth leaders in your prayers.  May this transitional period between youth pastors be one of both spiritual and personal growth for all who step foot through our Rafter doors.  Coming up on Sunday mornings in the Rafters, the youth will be wrapping up our Praying For Keeps Bible study then delving into a new series on the life of David.  Then, on Wednesday nights, we will be continuing our dive into the book of Galatians.

     

    Our first big event of 2026 will be our trip to Winter Jam at the Family Arena on January 17th!  It will be an awesome time of worshipping together with music from some amazing Christian artists including Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, Katy Nichole, Hulvey, and more!  You won’t want to miss it!

     

  • Family Front, Vol. 66, No. 1, January 2026

    The New Year is here! With the new year, we will begin implementing changes within our kids’ programming. One of these changes you might notice pretty quickly since the kids, K-5th, will all be in the worship center every Sunday for the worship music. If you notice them having difficulties paying attention, step over and lend a kind correction. This will go a long way for their learning and for the volunteers and parents working to guide them! Learning how to participate in a group takes time and practice as well as input from others who already know the responsibilities.

     

    January is pretty light on events, but we will be sending our 4th and 5th graders to SuperStart January 30th &31st. They are really excited!

     

    We are still looking for a few more volunteers. We would really love to have someone step into the role of our 2nd infant room teacher during the 9:15-10:15am hour. This is such a wonderful position, and you will find so much joy in this assignment- don’t let it pass you by! We would also love to have 2 or 3 adults who are ready to love on our grade school kids during the service. I’m not going to lie; they’re a handful at times! However, their energy and desire for fun is contagious, and you’ll find yourself bringing out that inner child once more. Please come find me and we can chat over coffee or lunch to see where you might fit in.

     

    In this new year we are planning to put more time and effort into family ministry and what that looks like here at Fee Fee Baptist Church. Pastor Britton and I have done some research and reaching out to a variety of churches and while many churches have something called “family ministry” it does not appear that any feel impactful or truly effective in this area. This revelation is exciting and daunting all in one. What we know is that God is putting family ministry on many hearts here at our church and that if He is leading us in the direction of family ministry then He will provide. Please pray for our kids, our volunteers, and our families here at Fee Fee!
